Giving up the Pacifier
So my two 1/2 year old is still sucking her pacifier. I tried hard one time to get rid of it and had her down to taking it just for nap time and bed time and putting it away for the rest of the day. I don't know what happened, but now she thinks that she constantly needs it...and acts like it's her lifeline!! She throws a fit and tells me she needs it...why at 2 1/2 is this such a comfort for her and how do I get back on track trying to get rid of it!

I simply had to pitch all the pacifiers to get Aiden off. When he started crying for one, I would help him "look" for it and when we couldn't find I would get him interested in something else....a couple times he just cried himself through it, but it only took 3 days to "get him over it"....good luck!
